AFRIDEX 2026 opens in Lagos for four days of defence technology
The Africa International Defence Exhibition runs Monday 26 to Thursday 29 October at Eko Atlantic, Lagos, with programmes spanning air, land, maritime, space and cyber capabilities.
The Africa International Defence Exhibition (AFRIDEX) is scheduled for Monday 26 to Thursday 29 October 2026 at Eko Atlantic in Lagos. The four-day event is organised as a meeting point for governments, armed forces, manufacturers and technology providers working across air, land, maritime, space and cyber domains.
The programme highlights capability development, industrial capacity, training and procurement discussions. This makes the event relevant to the wider technology sector too: secure communications, satellite services, sensors, unmanned systems, cybersecurity and local manufacturing all depend on engineering and software infrastructure.
Attendance and access
According to the official visitor registration page, Monday 26 October is for exhibitors, invitees and paid delegates. The exhibition opens to approved attendees from Tuesday 27 through Thursday 29 October. Registration is subject to security vetting and approval, so visitors should check the organiser's latest instructions before travelling.
AFRIDEX is distinct from South Africa's Africa Aerospace & Defence (AAD) expo. This report covers the Lagos event taking place this week.
